Un lugar especial - Un posto speciale - A special place
Y un día especial
"We were here before you were born"
I tempi cambiano, fortunatamente.
McSorley’s, established in 1854, became an institution by remaining genuine. It is an ancient and dust-caked place, floor with sawdust, swinging doors and mythical bar; you go to McSorley’s because sometimes it’s good to stop time. And because two beers are better than one, they are served in pairs. Just two choices: McSorley’s Dark Ale and McSorley’s Light Ale. It’s the only type they offer and is very cheap. John Lennon, Lincoln, Roosvelt and many more drank here. McSorley’s serves food. We ate its burger and liked it, it’s simply but tasty.
Curious fact: Women were not allowed in McSorley's until 1970; Prior to the 1970 ruling, the motto was "Good Ale, Raw Onions and No Ladies". Fortunatly, times change.
